Fake email generator that actually receives mail

Anyone with this browser’s access token can read this inbox. Don’t use it for bank, government, health, or account-recovery email.

This generates a random address that really works. Use it when a form needs an email you can check, but you don’t want to give your real one.

Why a made-up address isn’t enough

Typing asdf@asdf.com into a form works until the site sends a confirmation code. Then you are stuck. Worse, that made-up address may belong to a real person, who now gets your sign-up emails.

A generated temporary address avoids both problems. It is random, so it belongs to nobody else, and it is a real inbox, so the confirmation email arrives on this page.

How the generator works

  1. When you open the page, a quick bot check runs in the background.
  2. We create a random 12-character address, such as k7m2q9x4h8tz@example.com. Random addresses can’t be guessed, so nobody else can take over yours.
  3. The address is shown above with a copy button. Messages sent to it appear below within seconds.
  4. Press New address to generate another one. The old inbox is replaced.

Good uses for a generated email

What “fake” doesn’t mean here

The address is temporary, not a way to pretend to be someone else. You can’t choose a name, send email, or impersonate a person or company. Our acceptable use policy forbids fraud, harassment, bulk account creation, and dodging another service’s bans or limits.

Questions

Can I choose the name before the @?

No. Addresses are random so that nobody can guess or reuse someone else’s inbox.

Can I generate many addresses at once?

No. You get one inbox at a time per browser. Creating accounts in bulk is against our acceptable use policy, and we rate-limit new inboxes per network.

Will the generated address work everywhere?

Not everywhere. Many sites block known temporary email domains. If a site rejects the address or no email arrives, that site is probably blocking it, and you’ll need a permanent address there.
