Temporary email for developers and QA

By Riley Marsh ·

A disposable inbox is a quick way to see your own app’s emails the way a new user would. Here is what it is good for, and where you need something else.

Good for manual testing

What you’ll see in our inbox

We show the cleaned message: scripts stripped, remote images blocked until you load them, and attachments removed. That is close to a strict real-world email client, which is useful, but it means you can’t test attachments here.

Deliverability hints

If your email reaches a temporary inbox but not Gmail or Outlook, the problem is often authentication. Make sure your sending domain has SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set up, and that the “From” domain matches them.

Not for automated tests

TempMailyo has no public API, and the bot check and rate limits are there to stop scripts from creating inboxes. For automated end-to-end tests, use a tool built for that job:

These are faster, don’t depend on a third party’s domains being accepted, and keep test data under your control.
