Privacy policy

TempMailyo gives you a temporary, receive-only email inbox without an account. We collect as little as we can, and we delete inbox data automatically. This policy explains what happens to your data.

What we do not ask for

You never give us your name, a password, a phone number, or your personal email address.

What we store

• The inbox address and the time it was created, on our servers.
• Email sent to that address, on our servers. Attachments are removed before a message is stored, and very large messages are rejected.
• A secret access token, the address, and the creation time, in your browser’s local storage. The token is what lets this browser read the inbox. We do not put it in links, analytics, or logs.

Anyone who has the access token can read the inbox. Keep your device private while the inbox is open, and do not use temporary email for banking, government, health, account recovery, or any long-term account.

How long we keep it

Each inbox lasts 24 hours from creation. After that, our hourly cleanup deletes the address and its messages. Deletion normally happens within a few hours of expiry and can take slightly longer when the service is busy. You can delete a single message or the whole inbox at any time, which removes it immediately.

Service providers

The website, email receiving, and database run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages, Workers, Email Routing, and D1). Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data to deliver and protect the service, including the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check shown when an inbox is created. Cloudflare also tells us which country a visit comes from, so we can open the site in your language; we do not store it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for how it handles that data.

We may keep short-lived, per-IP counters to limit how many inboxes one network can create. We do not use them to identify you.

Analytics, advertising, and cookies

We do not use advertising or third-party analytics. We set one cookie, lang, only when you pick a language from the language menu, to remember your choice for a year. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. If we add analytics or advertising, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Remote images in email

Images in an email are loaded from the sender’s servers, which can reveal your IP address and that you opened the message. We block them until you choose to load them.

Your choices

You can delete messages or your inbox at any time from the inbox page. Because we do not know who you are, we cannot look up an inbox by person. For other privacy questions, email privacy@tempmailyo.com.
